Pros

What I liked best about Disney was the products, my coworkers, the people, and the Silver Pass.

Cons

I worked for Disney at Club Penguin for about a year and a half.

When I first started, I was really impressed. The culture was awesome, and the company actively promoted and lived up to the promise of work-life balance. However, the company seemed to make a drastic change towards the beginning of 2011, and all the values that existed when I started went out the door.

The amount of work kept increasing, thus so did the hours. Eventually, I found myself working 60+ to 80+ hours a week. Despite my numerous attempts to change this, the business did not seem to care. Instead, it seems as though they were blinded by their own selfishness.

Sadly, I eventually couldn't take it anymore. After having no weekends off for about 2 months and working over 100 extra hours, I decided to resign. What was sad was that my manager never acknowledged my resignation or called me on my last day. All I got was an exit interview from Human Resources.

If you want to feel valued, I'd highly recommend staying away from anything associated with Club Penguin.

Advice to Management

Focus on leadership skills amongst your leaders. It seems as though many of your managers are missing the basic leadership 101 class.
