Chat with recruiter. All good.
For the take-home project, I was given a complete server setup and design mocks and asked to implement the frontend. This is just a dream come true! After years of working mostly on existing apps and staring at somebody else's code, asking 'why?', this was amazing. You get to pick your frameworks, architecture, and try out new Redux middleware. I totally enjoyed it. It does take time, though.
Project walk-through over the phone. I got to talk about why I chose the component structure I did and what the pluses and minuses are with different approaches.
The onsite had 4 or 5 interviews. Most technical questions were related to the take-home project. If you had done this project yourself, it's probably pretty easy to add a feature or a test. Overall, I feel like the onsite was rather easy compared to other companies I talked to in the Bay Area.
