The process is fast, but the technical rounds are exhausting. DoorDash heavily indexes on practical implementation over pure algorithmic theory. You will get domain-specific questions about dispatching Dashers or tracking active restaurant orders. After the technical screen, there was a virtual onsite with a mix of heavy system design and practical live coding. They expect you to write production-ready code very quickly.

Pros: DoorDash is a very diverse workplace.
Cons: 1) Management is incompetent.
2) The environment is very chaotic, as many have noted.
3) Management has a very high turnover rate.
4) Teams are reorganized frequently.
5) The whole of the company has only about 3 or 4 PMs.
6) They promote an image of helping engineers work toward goals, but they can and have fired strong engineers for no good reason. I've seen it happen multiple times before it happened to me.

Pros: Lots of engineering empowerment to make business decisions. Engineers can have large-scale impact and dictate the work they do.
Cons: Unrealistic expectations for people looking for a good work-life balance. Lots of talk about "being an owner" and having "bias for action," which is just code for being overworked and having too many responsibilities. There's lots of recent turnover and poor team management, which makes it difficult to get work done.
