Pros: - Lots of interesting and challenging problems to solve, as DoorDash is not as established as other big tech players due to operating like a startup at heart. - Amazing teammates who are super driven and helpful. Although sometimes people may seem overburdened with responsibilities, the vast majority of folks I worked with have a 'play to win' attitude. Instead of cowering in the face of difficult challenges, we tackled them head-on. - Depending on the team, you should expect to learn a ton on the technical and business side. Unlike many corporate environments, DoorDash tracks both application and business metrics extensively, and they are open to every employee.

Cons: Depending on the team/org, work-life balance can range from terrible to decent. When nearly half of your compensation is in RSUs, stock price definitely matters a bit, but to be fair, the entire tech sector was down during the 2022-23 recession.

Have gone through 4 different managers. - One manager was let go before the yearly review and was given low-performance reviews out of the blue in order to not give a pay raise. - Managers suck. They literally don't do anything but push aggressive timelines on you and manipulate you into saying yes all the time. - They also want you to prepare all the docs that they should be preparing. They literally don't do any work but act as a middleman between higher-ups. - Initially joined with 3 engineers and now down to me handling the workload of 3 and still no promotions. - Professionally toxic! - If you are not an E5, you have 3 years to get there from E4 to E5. If not, you are fired.
