The tech stack is interesting. They use more modern technologies and languages. The best thing here is that they provide a fairly reasonable compensation package that always feels fair.
Managers are hit or miss. The organization I worked for was super hectic with a lack of communication, standardized processes, or clear goals/vision. Each meeting with my skip level had different goals that never matched the goals that the team had decided to follow. The processes also always worked against engineers, and you were left relying on goodwill. Timelines were always decided by product managers instead of engineers.
Create actual processes for managing projects. Design docs need to be standardized, and the processes for launching a feature do too. Product managers need to listen to engineers.
Very standard. The technical portion was medium difficulty. The system design was a bit customized for DoorDash, focusing on designing a system for drivers delivering food. The behavioral portion was with the manager of the team and mostly involved d
There were four steps: 1. Implement an endpoint related to an internal feature. 2. Conduct a debug session. 3. Meet with the manager. 4. A two-part session consisting of: a. A domain knowledge session to showcase one of your best works. b. A s
HM round. I completed two rounds of coding and one round of system design. There was one round where the interviewer did not attend. Overall, it was a fairly normal interview process, and I thought it went well.
