Incompetent and Untrustworthy Management
DoorDash is a very diverse workplace.
- Management is incompetent.
- The environment is very chaotic, as many have noted.
- Management has a very high turnover rate.
- Teams are reorganized frequently.
- The whole of the company has only about 3 or 4 PMs.
- They promote an image of helping engineers work toward goals, but they can and have fired strong engineers for no good reason. I've seen it happen multiple times before it happened to me.
- Hire more PMs.
- Start practicing what you preach.
- Audit your managers.
