I was given a Leetcode hard that I had never seen before. I could not even understand the question for the first half hour, which set me up for failure. The interviewer did not do a good job explaining the question or answering the questions I had.

Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn, quick intro call - background, past projects, why DoorDash. A few high-level iOS questions (UIKit, Core Data), nothing deep. Then got the take-home, took ~5 hours - extend an Xcode project, load & display JSON d

The process was straightforward. I had to go through a coding assessment and then some system design questions. Overall, it was not too difficult, on par with other tech companies I considered.
