Cons: Becoming a political playground. Promote those who deserve it and not those who play the politics game.

Pros: I’ve been with Dropbox a few years now, and every year I feel increasingly grateful for the people I work with and for the integrity of the leadership. The company is very mindful of not overworking and exhausting the staff and pays close attention to make sure that people are supported in reaching their career goals and are fulfilled in what they do. Because of this, they have created a positive and fun environment and a team who works hard and is motivated to help the company reach its goals. It feels very much like a close family, which is something I’ve never experienced previously.

Cons: I really can’t think of anything. 🤷‍♀️

Pros: - Decent compensation. - Top-notch benefits. - Remote-first culture. - Folks from L1 to L5 are pretty good; they are talented and kind.

Cons: - Leadership (specifically the new VPs of EPD, yes, we have new VPs for Engineering, Product, and Design) is clueless. - Core: Has nothing interesting to do, and the Engineering LT in Core has an extremely low hiring bar. - Dash: Talented people, decent LT, no idea how to make people pay for Dash. - Career growth is almost impossible, especially L4 onwards, unless you are buddies with the right people.
