Process

Uninspiring, dull, and absentminded interviewers really set the tone here. After completing the OA and the first technical video interview, it all seemed to go downhill after that.

The recruiter I was working with seemed lost when it came to simple communication and scheduling. There were long gaps between emails, and after confirming an interview time and day, they failed to show up. I followed up with another email, to which they finally responded and scheduled the third round, 20-minute interview for the next day. They seemed barely awake or present during that call.

The final round interview showcased three robots resembling people. The first two could barely hold a conversation, and even thinking about working with people like this hurt my head. There was a total lack of depth as human beings and zero emotional intelligence. After solving the problems they gave me and carrying the conversation the entire time to ensure they understood why I was making the choices I was making and to keep them engaged, they asked some fun follow-up questions that I was also able to solve. But wow, they were dull and unprofessional. They both forgot to introduce themselves and didn't understand what step of the interview process I was in. It's like they were just scheduled to do the interview without even knowing what they were going to do or ask.

The third interviewer seemed just as dull and uninterested as the other two. They monotonously went through behavioral questions, not even shedding a care about what or how I was answering. There was no conversation whatsoever, they weren't looking into the camera, and acted like they could care less to be there.

I honestly think the red flags were there the entire time, but the company name got in the way. If you think about their product and what they've done as a company since beginning in 2007, it's rather sad. In their product video, they boast of creating a shared workspace folder and "Paper" since being founded. I think if you tack on their stock price being stagnant since IPO, it tells it all. If you're being wowed by the name Dropbox, just stop, take a closer look, and go elsewhere. Uninspiring people and uninspiring work.

All the questions I had can be found on previous comments here on Glassdoor and can definitely be found on the GitHub repo someone posted recently.
