I solved the coding challenge, but that wasn't enough, as they did not proceed with me. The recruiter seemed fine, and the coding challenge was of above-average difficulty.

Pros: - I have never had trouble maintaining my work/life balance.
- I have been encouraged to take my time learning things well, even when it wouldn't immediately benefit my team.
- Has a respectable engineering review process for building new systems, so they are seldom totally harebrained (though they've overhauled this process a couple of times, so this might be out of date).
Cons: - Frequent re-orgs make it hard to know who's in charge of what.
- Leans heavily towards building its own systems rather than purchasing them or using OSS.
- High-level "company goals"-type communications tend to sound completely meaningless to me.

Pros: Helpful and patient onboarding team, friendly coworkers. It feels like you can really have an impact here.
Cons: Different time zones lead to meetings at every daytime. Sometimes, I fear missing out on things.
