I applied online and was then sent a two-hour coding assessment. I passed the coding test and then had a call with a recruiter.
A week or so went by without hearing anything, and then I reached out.
The recruiter said I didn't have enough years of experience for the position.

Transparent culture.

Pros: The virtual-first approach with Dropbox continues to provide solid boundaries between work and life. They are a top-notch remote company.
Cons: The pay for markets outside of SF. There was a solid 10 percent pay decrease which didn't consider that the metro I'm in is equivalently expensive to SF. I do the same work as my colleagues in SF and am paid less.
