There was a recruiter call, followed by a technical coding interview that had two parts. One part was code review and debugging, and the other part was a LeetCode type question. Everyone was nice, but the questions were difficult.

Pros: You get to work with some of the best people in tech. The technical scale is massive, and the engineering org overall is small enough that you can get close to the action. The culture is collaborative and supportive, although there is occasional cross-team conflict. However, I don't think it's more than can be expected given the size. Generally, engineering leaders are involved in resolving such conflict.

Cons: There's just a lot of people and strategy pivots as Dropbox tries to figure out its next big thing.

Pros: Dropbox has great talents, top-tier compensation, a fully remote environment, and large-scale challenging problems for engineers. Above all these, the work-life balance is unbeatable.

Cons: While Dropbox has a stable business and customer base, it is still fighting hard to find its second hyper-growth product. Some teams (especially product teams) may need to pivot quite frequently to find the right direction.
