The initial interview is a technical challenge that they outsource to a different company.
Dropbox doesn't even look at your assessment! They just wait for a "yes" or "no" from the outsourced company.
I wrote well-thought-out logic, and all my tests passed up until a certain point in which I ran out of time. (They seem to only care about a certain number of tests passing, so spaghetti code/cheat away).
As a result, if you simply cheat and copy straight from the web, you will get through this portion.
