Software Engineering Intern Interview Experience

Process

I spoke with a campus recruiter, followed by a 30-minute initial interview.

They then called me back for an hour-long interview.

Both of these were on-campus.

Subsequently, I completed an hour-long phone interview. After that, they flew me to their San Francisco office for an on-site interview.

During the on-site, I:

  • Spoke with three engineers for an hour each (technical questions).
  • Had lunch with one engineer (culture interview).
  • Met with another individual at the end to discuss the culture at Dropbox and my potential fit.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and everyone was very nice.

Questions

Some questions were asked:

  • Finding duplicate files
  • Converting phone numbers to words

All very standard and nothing too unexpected.
