Finished the OA and got a technical phone screen scheduled.
The interviewer was late by about 5 minutes.
We started with a basic introduction, then moved on to a coding question. It was of average difficulty, but I misunderstood it at first.
Questions
Given a file system and a list of files you have access to, you can access a file if you either have direct access or you have access to its parent directory.

Pros: Everyone knows this, but the people at Dropbox are incredibly smart and incredibly friendly.
Cons: I worked on a project that I didn't love, so if you intern here, make sure to be extremely explicit on the preferences form.

Pros: It's pretty clear that the internship program has had many years to be matured. Intern projects were well-scoped. Events were well-organized. People were very friendly and approachable.
Cons: Not sure about future outlooks. Tech is solid, but product is meh. Need direction.

Pros: Dropbox is in the unique position of having many users with lots of data, but still being young enough to have interesting problems left to solve. I've learned much more from this job than from most jobs I've had.
There is very little bureaucracy, and very little time is wasted in meetings.
People devote lots of time to mentoring interns and helping new hires. This helped me to grow quickly soon after I started.
Most people I've dealt with have very clearly communicated their expectations.
Cons: I don't feel like I fit into the culture very well. Some employees at Dropbox are quite "fratty". I enjoy being around the other engineers in this company, but I really dislike being around some of the sales and customer support people. I'm hoping that this changes as the company grows. Dropbox seems to be less centered around engineering than other tech companies I've worked at.
