I dropped off my resume at a university career fair and received an invitation to participate in a one-hour coding challenge shortly after.
The coding challenge was conducted through HackerRank but in a designated room on campus. I wasn't able to finish an optimized solution in time and only passed approximately 6 out of 10 test cases (the remaining ones timed out), but I still received an on-campus interview invitation within a few hours.
The on-campus interview was an hour long and featured only one question, with the coding done through a shared notepad website. It didn't take too long to complete, but my interviewer asked many follow-up questions, mostly "what-ifs," which filled most of the remaining time. I thought I did pretty well and had reasonably good answers to all questions, but I received notification about a week later that I didn't make it to the on-site.

Very, very low chance of RTO since we have no offices anymore (you can book on-demand desks in many locations though). Good benefits: * Perks allowance * Mega backdoor Roth 401k * Decently cheap healthcare Good transparency around compensation, promotion cycles, etc.Cons: Product velocity can be slow, but higher-ups try to speed up work by arbitrarily saying we need to halve our timeline right after layoffs and without a clear plan. Leadership is becoming more transparent with planning farther out, but the chill vibes from last year have still morphed into more pressure from leaders to move quickly. Slow stock growth. Leadership has cut some benefits recently: * Perks allowance (7K->5K) * Parental leave * Monthly company PTO days 401K match of $6K is less than other top-tier software companies.
