Most ICs at Dropbox are smart and friendly.
Good pay and benefits overall.
- Leadership lacks reflection and transparency and is out of touch with engineers.
- Toxic positivity culture (not everyone, but it is a theme with some engineers and leaders).
- No real culture due to remote work (not a dig at Dropbox, to be expected for any remote company).
You hire great people, so respect them more.
Be direct with the strategy, own up to mistakes, and listen to their input.
