Excellent pay, excellent benefits, quite a small company with a large footprint. Lots of strong and passionate people.
Everyone knows that Dropbox is failing, and you'll quickly see why. Drew (CEO) has no idea how to run a company at scale and has hired toxic and incompetent executives. Management success comes from mimicking those executives. The company is rotting from the inside.
Constant reorgs, chasing after the latest flavor-of-the-month goal. Now we've started doing layoffs to go with the reorgs.
The only way to be happy at Dropbox is to give up on doing a good job and find a place to rest and vest.
Stop using waterfall development; it's not the 80s anymore. Next time there's a DX survey, you should lay off the executives and senior managers who get the lowest ratings.
Very pleasant interview experience. The process was pretty typical: * A conversation with a recruiter. * A technical phone screen. * An on-site interview, which was split over two days. This was nice in a way, but it also drew the process out.
I was asked to solve a 4-step coding question in CoderPad at a screening phase. Once you make it from the first step, you get to the next one. Solving all 4 in a given amount of time seems unrealistic, but maybe they assess how far you are able to
Initial Zoom screen (algorithmic). Then on-site with: * 1 algorithmic interview * 1 bug fix * 1 design interview * 1 behavioral interview * 1 hiring manager interview This took less than 1 month overall. Be well-prepared for algorithmic and design
