Pros
  1. A welcoming community: Even before starting my job, I received email from my colleagues welcoming me to the team.

  2. Work at your own pace, asynchronously: This is a great way to have a work-life balance. I can take my son to school or make any urgent trip and then come back to work. I am not expected to be 100% on my messenger to answer questions.

  3. The culture in the company is different: employees work for each other, they help each other when asked, and some offer their help without being asked. It is a situation I have dreamed of in the past, but I am really happy to join. Employees from different departments work for each other for the sake of the common good of the company. You can contact any person, whatever their level in the hierarchy is, without worrying about not being answered.

  4. Information sharing: There is every effort to make sure all the information is available to everyone. Information is not used as a tool to make someone important!

  5. Transparency: There is also a culture of transparency, whether between you and your manager or with other peers. Also, there is transparency in sharing the company’s objectives and roadmaps.

  6. The income is competitive.

  7. Flexible working and, in Dropbox terms, Virtual first: whether you prefer to work at home or would like to come to the office, it is up to you.

  8. There is a company PTO once a month: an unexpected long weekend takes place once a month!

  9. Employees review: Every 6 months, you sit with your manager and are challenged with what you want to do with your future, the current state of affairs, and how your manager can help you to progress further in your career.

  10. Trust: #beworthyoftrust is Dropbox's slogan, and they trust you with your time, treating you like an adult.

Cons

I cannot find cons for working for Dropbox. I have been there only a year now and am loving it a lot. There isn't a perfect company, certainly, but then, there isn't a concern that I have and was not answered.
