The first round was a Codility test. The invitation email stated that the coding test would consist of React questions, including multiple-choice and coding samples. Instead, there were three tasks: a JavaScript algorithm challenge, a React challenge, and writing a Node.js + Express.js API. I had 160 minutes to complete all the tasks.
I was totally confused because the job description did not mention any need for Node.js experience. I wrote an email explaining that I had no experience in Node.js and that the tasks and the information provided in the email were inconsistent. I received an answer only a few days later, suggesting I participate in the test, after which they would provide feedback if I passed. However, it was too late, as the timer began counting down as soon as I started the challenge.
Naturally, I did not receive any feedback since I did not finish the challenge.
It was very unprofessional to advertise a job requiring specific experience, then send a confusing email and a challenge with extra requirements.
