Process
One online assessment that lasts about an hour with five questions, on the easier side.
Then, two rounds of video interviews that asked a lot of CS topics, including OOP, cache, concurrency, etc.
I missed only one or two small questions but did not get an offer. I think it was definitely too hard for an intern interview.

eBay Work Experiences
- 5.0eBay has my love!Sr. Manager, Technical Operations • Former EmployeeSalt Lake City, Utah, United StatesOctober 17, 2025Pros: Excellent company to work for. Great leadership. Loved my boss. They do a great job of annual planning and are extremely invested in the employees.Cons: Lots of layers sometimes makes it difficult to get things done, but that’s to be expected in a company the size of eBay. Burnout can be a real thing in some roles.
- 5.0Great place to workBackend Engineer • Current EmployeeSan Jose, California, United StatesJuly 8, 2021Pros: Great work-life balance and nice teammates.Cons: The diversity of the team is low.
- 3.0Bitter Sweet does not value peopleSoftware Engineer III • Current EmployeeCampbell, California, United StatesSeptember 21, 2014Pros: Good exposure to eCommerce. Lot of things to learn. New ideas and problems.Cons: Managers are just idiots. They do not value your contribution. If you get a bad rating in some quarter for any crappy reason, that will become your benchmark. Similar for a good rating. There is a lot of politics. You need to be in the right team.
