I applied online and was contacted by their in-house recruiter.
All interviews were done via Zoom, which was nice to be able to see the people I was interviewing with. I had about 5 interviews, including presenting to a distributed team of 6-8 people via Zoom.
From start to finish, the process was fantastic. My recruiter kept me informed and updated throughout the process, and I felt like she was really just a friend helping me get a job with an amazing company. It almost felt too good to be true!
My background, my teaching experience, my experience with Elastic, etc. During the presentation, I was asked a few tech questions, one about how many shards we use in our indexes (and why). Nothing too crazy or technical. I never felt like they were trying to give me a 'gotcha' question. Honestly, it was pretty fun and I met so many nice people during the process.
