The whole process took around a couple of months. It included:
Overall, the interviews aren't hard for an experienced engineer.
Technical interviews made a very positive impression. Engineers are open for conversation, ready to discuss the task given, and answer questions thoroughly.
The negative part is the feedback. Instead of saying no, the recruiter took weeks giving information like he is waiting for an answer from a manager. In fact, managers have a lot of power in that company and can make decisions on their own, despite the whole team liking a candidate. In my particular case, I think they waited for another candidate to accept the offer before saying no to me.
I'd personally recommend avoiding expectations, even after positive feedback after a tech interview. It's not a big tech company where engineers decide. So, you've got to be lucky to be chosen, and your skills aren't the key to success. You'd rather have some charm for a manager.
Could you tell me about a project you are proud of?
