Timewasters. I found these guys on HN. They're on the 'Who's Hiring' thread.
I think they're using recruiting as a way to namedrop/advertise their service, as opposed to having a proportional hiring need and to scale to more employees. I submitted a form on their website, twice, over a period of about a year. They say they like JS and Python and look for open-source contributions. My track record is superb. I applied multiple times, each time getting a canned response.
No idea, but be careful for these guys doing what MongoDB does. They use recruiting pushes as a way to get their company name around in hopes of selling enterprise services, when in reality, they lack the demand to fill roles proportional to their so-called 'talent search'.
Just saying - be aware of the possibility. This stuff really hurts people when they're looking for jobs. We appreciate it if you showed how many roles you're really filling - and who you're letting in - so we know whether you are just driving attention in hopes people buy your services, or really want skill and talent.
What open source projects do you have?
