I was added to the interview list via a referral after the position was no longer available due to a very high number of applicants. This was during the 2023 layoffs across many technology companies.

• Screen with the recruiter.
• Interview with the hiring manager.
• Technical interview with a peer SA.

In the end, I was not selected as there were other candidates ahead of me in the process. The rejection email was one of the better/best ones I've received during this interview season. It feels like the Elastic folks really wanted to say just enough, with clarity. No hard feelings, and I would consider other roles if they opened up.

The interviews appeared to focus on a behavioral fit for me and Elastic. The technical interview covered 6 areas with 3 questions each. It appears I answered those quite well.
