Applied online. The recruiter emailed and set up a time for a phone screen. It was a very amicable conversation; we talked about benefits, the position, etc. Then they set up a time for a technical phone screen with the hiring manager.
Terrible experience henceforth. The interviewer was rude and arrogant and cut me off at every answer that I tried to provide. He tried to question my background and my experience. I told him clearly which skills and technologies I have worked with and have not, but he nevertheless kept on asking me questions about the same stuff that I never worked on. It was more like an interrogation than a professional interview with an adult.
It seemed to me the phone interview was a mere formality. The guy was never serious about considering my candidature. I lost interest at that moment. The interviewer's arrogance, snobbishness, and lack of basic professional etiquette and humility was a big turn-off (who would want to work with a guy like that to begin with...!!). Waste of time!!
I informed the recruiter that very evening that I am not interested in proceeding forward.
