Several weeks passed by between the interview and the reply.

When I got a positive response and was issued a test, I completed it right away.

I never got a response regarding the results. Only after I asked for feedback after a month was I told that by the time they got my test, they had already selected an individual for the position.

(How so, if I sent the test one day after I received it?)
