Software Engineering Intern Interview Experience - Canada
Process
I was contacted by the lead technical recruiter for the Software Engineering Intern position, and we scheduled a call to discuss the next steps.
However, on the day of the call, the recruiter emailed me just 10 minutes before to reschedule.
While I initially gave her the benefit of the doubt, the next day, she failed to call me altogether, claiming that she had forgotten to add it to her calendar.
I attempted to schedule another call, stressing the importance of prompt communication, but once again, the recruiter forgot to follow through.
As a student, my time is valuable, and it is unacceptable for recruiters to waste it in this way. I am outraged by this level of incompetence and lack of professionalism. If you are unable to perform the basic task of showing up to scheduled calls, you have no place in a role as crucial as recruiting.
