The initial review and first interview seemed to go well. I was asked to perform a multi-day technical test, which was fine. I completed the test and sent it back. They then quickly told me the job was offered to another person. If I wasn't in serious contention for the position, then don't ask me to waste my time performing a tech test that took several hours to complete. I don't mind doing them, but I had better be a contender before you spend my time on such a comprehensive test. It left an overall bad taste in my mouth and sparks concerns of ageism.
