Pros

The ability to get the right resources for your project is there if you are a favored project. You don't have "startup" issues like "will I get a paycheck?" There is a fair amount of job security depending on what job you hold. This doesn't include jobs with high amounts of churn, like QA spots.

Cons

You aren't a startup; everything moves at a glacial pace. Getting things done takes 10 meetings with 20 different people. God forbid your project stops being an important project, then things move even slower.

Advice to Management

Get the bureaucracy and red tape out of the way of employees.

Get rid of the current upper management. They really are clueless.

When you tell your employees the problem with the stock price is that "Analysts just don't understand what we are doing", that is called bullsh*t.
