Great perks, great advancement opportunities, and good salaries. EA is a great place to start a career, although you won't be paid very well in the beginning. Stick with it, and your salary will go up. You can also move around within the company to find what interests you in the long term.
Some studios are not very innovative, churning out repetitive products. The technology sharing culture is broken; many teams like to do things from scratch over and over again. Taking vacations during the production cycle is more difficult than at other studios, and you feel pressured not to do it.
Hire more charismatic and respected people into central technology roles, not just bright guys; people that can convince teams to share technology.
