There is a decent work/life balance that the company seems to be trying to improve. If you are lucky enough to have a manager that cares, you can have it even better.
Pay is below industry average.
No vertical movement.
Lack of technical direction leads to miscommunication and confusion.
New "made up" Vice President positions are created every two weeks and filtered to lower employees as if this should make us happy, all while taking away from the bonus pool year after year and not providing ample opportunities for advancement for other employees.
Understand that there is no shortage of opportunities for developers across the country. While EA may be a top corporate within Orlando, if they want to keep good talent and not have to worry about replacing people all the time, they might want to be a tad more competitive in compensation and stop worrying so much about corporate restructuring at the management/VP level.
Had an interview with 4 different rounds. First round was HR. Then a tech round with the managers, and then 2 panel rounds. It was a bitter ending; I did not get an offer.
Starting with a phone screening with HR, followed by an interview with the technical director. Then a technical interview with team members and a behavioral interview with a producer and a project manager.
A first screening with the recruiter to talk about the position. An interview with the software engineering lead, and then three more rounds of interviews. One of them was "culture add" and then two technical interviews, which were pretty similar.
