Quality Assurance/Software Tester Interview Experience - United States

Process

Applied online. Submitted college transcripts. I was contacted immediately and asked to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was with an HR person and was easy. The reviews on Glassdoor were very helpful in preparing for the phone interview.

After the phone interview, I received an invitation to complete online personality tests and a technical learning assessment. I had spent a couple of weeks doing GRE/LSAT prep and brushing up on algorithms, thinking it would be helpful, but it was not so. I have no programming experience and found the technical learning aspect of the test quite confusing. I've heard everyone thinks they fail it. If the test I took has any relation to the skills or attitude necessary to do the job I applied for, I probably would not enjoy that job anyway.
