Process

Stage 1: Resume submission online.

In about two weeks, I was contacted through email that they were interested in having a phone interview with me.

Stage 2: Phone Interview.

This consisted of going over my resume to confirm my identity and education background. I was asked to talk about an experience in developing software, and I had several opportunities to ask questions about the work culture, location, software used for development, etc.

Stage 3: An online assessment test.

This was scheduled alongside the phone interview (date flexible). The test service was provided by ProtorU. The test consisted of four sections:

  • Speed test
  • Logic
  • Learning MITTS (the database used at EPIC)
  • Programming (which had four programming problems; the time limit was about three hours for this section)

Stage 4: On-site interview.

I did not make it to this stage.

Questions

Phone interview asked a technical question along something like this: given a patient and his profile storing a set of his on-going symptoms, describe how you would go through the patient database to find other patients who probably share the same sickness/diagnosis.
