Process
Applied online, then received an email from the hiring manager to arrange a phone interview. The phone interview was conducted by a software engineer. They asked questions based on my resume, such as describing a project I worked on before and my role in terms of coding. They also asked some routine questions, such as the GPA of each degree. I emailed the hiring manager about the interview outcome after one week, then received a rejection email after a couple of days.

You're only seen as productive during the time you're in the office. There is no respect for work-life balance. If you work 40 hours, you're seen as a slacker doing the bare minimum.
