Process
Recruiter call into a technical OA. After that was supposed to be an actual interview with a person, but I didn't get that far so I'm not really sure what that is like.
Questions
One of the coding questions was very similar to the roman integer-to-numbers kind of problem.

Work-life balance is tricky
Software Developer • Current Employee
Madison, Wisconsin, United States

Pros: - Work on projects that have meaning.
- Madison is a great place to live.
Cons: Work-life balance is only as good as your team and ability to say no. Some of the tech stack is outdated.

Good job for the salary, but not much else
Software Developer • Former Employee
Madison, Wisconsin, United States
October 1, 2014
Pros: Very competitive salary, very nice food and drinks, comfortable office and easy parking, lots of conferences, presentations, and guest lectures. Some members of my team were intelligent and helpful, others sabotaged my work to make themselves look better.
Cons: Obsolete technology is a problem when you interview afterwards. Very heavy workload. The technical assignments are not very challenging but are difficult and time-consuming because:
* The software is very old and monolithic.
* Epic uses the most complex software development cycle I have ever seen. (Going through PQA is truly a good exercise, but I spent too much time chasing pedantic issues that just ended up getting dropped.)

Pros: The food is seriously one of the best out there.
Cons: The tech being used is primitive and does not really add to the resume.
