Pros: 1. Everyone has a single or double office. You may be able to get a single even if you just joined the company. 2. Great food. Great campus. 3. I like my team a lot. A lot of great people. But this depends on the team.

Cons: 1. SDE2 takes 3 years rather than the standard 2. 2. Software we use internally is relatively old. Frontend we use Typescript and React, which is fine; but backend we use an ancient language called M. 3. Some overtime work, but fairly rare (depends on team). Work-life balance not the best but not terrible. 4. 1-2 required business trips to support hospitals firsthand.

Pros: - Good pay for Madison - Beautiful campus and offices

Cons: - Not employee friendly - Horrible response to COVID - Non-transparent culture - Bad tech stack, bad developers in general

Pros: - Money - Food is pretty cheap. - Beautiful campus. - If you are a recent college grad, you get to work with many people near your age.

Cons: They will lure you in with the beautiful campus and endless possibilities. They might also tell you they won't treat you like just a number, but they will, and an easily replaced one for that matter. There's a reason for such a high turnover rate at this place. Lots of hard work, late nights, last-minute fixes, and very little gratitude. Basically, since they pay you, you will work like there's no end and feel very unappreciated. As a developer, you will code with ancient languages (mainly Cache, VB, and barely any C#). It will be pretty hard for you to get another tech job without putting in extra effort in learning more modern languages. But how much time and energy do you have left after working for them 50-60 hours a week? Also, developers rarely work on actual projects; you will be overwhelmed with tons of bug fixes. It'll be lucky to even work on one project each year. Your happiness greatly depends on your team lead. Some team leads can also be very passive-aggressive. He can tell you that all is going well, then the next second, you can very easily be getting the boot with a whole list of things you did wrong without any warning. Really think about it before you go and work as a developer there.
