I applied by sending my resume after seeing the job post on my school's website. Less than a week later, I got an email from a recruiter asking me to schedule a phone interview and to pick a time to take the ProctorU test.
The phone interview was pretty basic, with a lot of questions like:
You should be ready to discuss everything on your resume and have some good stories to tell about your projects.
I took the ProctorU test a few days later. The test was divided into two parts.
The first part covered questions, about 20 of them, of a made-up language. Some were really easy, others required more thinking. All in all, don't necessarily go with your gut instinct.
The second part had 4 programming questions where pseudocode could be used. In hindsight, the programming questions were quite doable and exactly like the questions posted for Epic interviews here, on CareerCup, and all other forums. You have to be very comfortable with arrays and know your data structures.
The ProctorU test is timed. I think the longest you can stay and take it is 4 hours.
