Applied from a college job link and was contacted by their HR. I first scheduled a phone interview with a software engineer. It was a very nice interview with only behavioral questions. Then, I received an invitation for an online assessment that week.
The questions were not as hard as I expected. However, the setup process was too long. The staff took more than an hour setting up my account, remotely checking my computer, and closing all programs running on my computer except the OS. I also had to use a mirror to reflect to them that nothing was on my screen and use a camera to show them around the room to make sure that nothing could help me.
The questions were not very hard. But when I started the speed test, somehow I could not find the scroll bar to scroll down the screen, which took me some time. I only managed to finish 9 of the 10 questions. When I worked on the programming problems, the easiest question really stuck me due to my own stupidity in misunderstanding the question. However, the later 3 went pretty smooth.
I finished the OS in about 3 and a half hours, which is not very good. So, I received a rejection letter in about 3 weeks.
It has been too long; I cannot remember lots of detail. You have a matrix marked with empty, white, or black positions. Given a position on the matrix, find the empty position from it that only involves jumping over an opponent's position.
