Good people who mean well, generally good compensation, and great food.
I was also lucky enough to work with several really good team leads, which seems to be a make-or-break deal here.
A good opportunity for folks out of school; I don't regret working here.
It got a little too bureaucratic for my liking. The company seems to be growing still, but operating at the highest level with a small, black-box decision-making group, leaving employees to decipher the logic behind those decisions by themselves. A higher-than-normal workload for nearly two years straight, as an above-average performer, to help pitch in for staffing shortages, made it clear to me that this was now the normal expected workload.
Employees will generally feel a lot better about working in a place that gives them the reasoning and thought process behind decisions that affect them. If you as management cannot provide them the (true) reasoning behind that decision, or know where to find that reasoning, that's a red flag.
Quick 30-minute behavioral phone interview, focused on confirming job description and details. Details provided on resume and getting info on the company. There is also a separate online technical assessment.
Quick 15-30 minute phone call. Basic questions, such as: why do you want to work here? What are your skills? The interviewer allowed time for me to ask questions and told me about the role and company.
A very laid-back phone call asking a variety of questions, such as: * Why do you want to work at Epic? * What will you contribute? * What questions do you have about Epic?
