Pros

Epic provides a very high salary in an area with a low cost of living. There's a small amount of travel, but you can use it to see new places, and it's flexible. Benefits are very nice. The Verona campus is very pretty, and there's support for after-hours personal interest clubs.

Cons

Management doesn't care about the employees.

There are a lot of projects with no clear direction and a vague goal that developers are expected to turn into a finished product with little to no assistance.

Overtime without pay is expected by the company; expect to be reprimanded if you work less than 45 hours a week, and you'll frequently go past 50 or 60.

Advice to Management

Start actually caring about your employees. Management at Epic is quoted as having once said, "Epic is not in the business of growing our employees." You should probably get into that business soon.
