My experience has overall been very good. My peers are capable, the food is a steal, and the campus is nice.
I've had multiple TLs in my tenure, and all of them are knowledgeable in their functional areas and willing to help rather than command.
The extreme weather policy was not great. I'm glad they changed it after the feedback. Epic also likes to run a little understaffed, which means that timelines can be a bit too aggressive.
Focus a bit more on employee retention.
Don't make policy changes that alienate the old timers.
I had to take a lot of tests and had a phone interview where I talked about my past projects. The tests were hours long and took a long time.
30-minute phone screen, then an OA around 4 hours long. The OA had mental math, but also a few LeetCode-type problems. They were not very difficult if you studied common patterns and implementation.
