The best thing about working at Epic is knowing that I'm not selling my soul for a paycheck, like I would be if I were working for Amazon, Google, Facebook, or other tech companies that are fraught with ethical scandals.

Instead of developing surveillance AI, we're developing AI that will help diagnose patients much faster than a doctor would. Instead of using networks to push authoritarian propaganda, we're using networks to help doctors connect with other providers around the world to help treat their patients with rare diseases. Instead of harvesting data to sell advertisements, we're harvesting data to help researchers crack lifesaving causation, such as the Flint water crisis.

Oh yeah, the benefits are great, Madison is dope, and the culinary staff is gangster.

Different teams have different cultures, so it's kind of luck of the draw. However, individuals can change a team's culture.
