Most benefits, especially health insurance, are phenomenal.
Superb salary and raises over the years.
Working on software that has a very real-life impact is rewarding and meaningful.
Fellow employees are mostly extremely intelligent and competent, although sometimes too workaholic (especially management) and too eager to fall in line and use common sense (as opposed to blindly following directives from others).
Campus is gorgeous inside and outside, always very well maintained and a pleasant visual environment to work in.
Management is completely out of touch and so fixated on "culture" as to force 10,000 employees back to campus in the middle of the pandemic in July 2020, against all health department recommendations and while the percentage of positive COVID tests was spiking. This was for absolutely no reason other than to save face on a giant, fancy campus sitting empty. They would rather sacrifice employee health and lives than care about us (and our loved ones, who we would in turn also be risking to more exposure).
See the note about sick leave above and how taking sick leave is discouraged (due to policy) as a result. Even if they say "please stay home if you're sick," you are guilted for not getting the work done. They can say it all they want, but without the policies behind it to encourage it and without being guilt-tripped that your work isn't being done, people won't do it.
Management has been squashing dissent by literally redacting legitimate employee questions on our internal public Q&A forum. The message has been "fall in line or get out" and don't question management's decisions, ever.
Be more transparent with employees about the decision-making process.
Don't stifle, but encourage internal employee discourse in a public forum (as opposed to a black hole email group).
Don't bring people back into the office when working from home during the pandemic has been going well and you are touting all the things we accomplished for our customers in the process. Show that you actually care about our lives and we're not just cogs in a machine for you.
HR - Don't falsely advertise the Software Tester position's growth opportunities when direct managers aren't willing to follow it and allow you to grow (even when you exceed expectations and are doing well in all areas).
You apply for PM or TS, and they may let you know you are also considered for the QM role. The interview includes a presentation that you have to make. I think it is effectively the same as PM, but you are judged for PM (IS) or QM.
The first round was an online assessment and a phone interview. The online assessment consisted of math, reasoning, and programming-based questions. The phone interview was informal and just a conversation about the position.
30-minute phone interview and a 4-step skills test. The phone interview is a back-and-forth about items on your resume, with an extra discussion about what the interviewer does at the company and their experience.
