I applied online, and the recruiter contacted me within 10 days. The entire process was very organized, and all the individuals I interacted with were courteous and attentive, which speaks volumes about the company culture. Although I was not selected, the recruiter promptly scheduled a call to inform me that they had decided to extend an offer to another candidate.

Most other companies don't even bother to reply if you're not selected. The entire process took two weeks (I had multiple offers, and they expedited the interview loop).

Details of the rounds:

• Screening round with hiring manager: 45 minutes, with questions related to team management, conflict resolution, etc.
• Main interview loop:
  1. System design: Questions are primarily based on the role. Explore the domain you'll be working in more deeply.
  2. Product round: Questions focus on balancing product development with technical debt, evangelizing your team, managing changing priorities, etc.
  3. Project deep dive: This involves discussing the architecture of an existing feature or system you worked on with the team. Expect design questions regarding the choices made.
  4. Cultural fit/collaboration: This is another behavioral round. Review Etsy's core values and be prepared to answer questions related to leadership.
  5. Leadership: A deep dive into the values of a leader, leadership style, and principles.

I had a very positive experience. Although I wasn't selected, I met some wonderful people, and I hope to stay in touch with them.
