One was a whiteboard style, but a Google Doc was used. Another interview involved providing feedback on the mobile app.

Pros: Pretty flexible company that doesn’t make you work to the bone. Great people to work with in the office. The facilities team does an amazing job.
Cons: Lack of company growth has destroyed the amazing appeal of Etsy's culture. Post-layoffs, working on “quick to make a dollar” projects has not paid off. Company orgs are flat, and promotions are a dream rather than a reality. Nepotism is incredibly prevalent.

Pros: Since the company is a digital product, the engineering culture is really on point. The collaboration between teams is truly admirable. Generally speaking, managers actually care about your career.
Cons: When there's a high dependency on other teams, it becomes virtually impossible to ship things fast. Also, salary is not as competitive as with other companies this big.
