In November 2017, an in-house recruiter contacted me. She inquired about my current role and my interest in relocating back home to Amman, Jordan. She then informed me that I had passed the initial screening process and that the next steps would begin in early December.
No one contacted me until I sent a follow-up email. The recruiter then apologized and stated that the next phase of screening would commence in early January 2018. At that point, they sent me a technical assignment, which I completed and received prompt feedback on (second week of January 2018). I was then told I had advanced to the next step, scheduled to begin in the second week of February.
I was subsequently contacted to schedule four online interviews: two with the Amman office and two with the London office. The interviews were straightforward; we discussed technology, culture, and my motivation for joining the company. After these interviews, I was never contacted again.
This was the most verbose and lengthy interview process I have ever experienced. Ending it without any form of feedback is disrespectful and unprofessional. They simply wasted my time for nothing.
