The process started with an email from the hiring manager on a Sunday night (which felt unusual) requesting a technical phone chat. It's worth noting this occurred before any behavioral interview to assess cultural fit. That initial chat went well.

Later, my wife interviewed with the VP of that group. She spoke with the hiring manager on my behalf, who reported that I was a great fit and expressed excitement about moving forward.
