Initial call with HR, followed by one HackerRank challenge. After two follow-ups, I was told I would be moving to a virtual four-round interview. A few days later, I received an email with the scheduled interview rounds without confirmation of my availability for that day. However, there was an option to reschedule, which I utilized due to project deadlines. What I don't understand is why Expedia HR would not reach out to candidates before sending an interview schedule.

Later came the virtual interview day. The interviewers were cool and asked about my past experience, system design, and data structure questions. I did decently well and was expecting a positive response.

Now, here is where my overall experience became negative. I have not received any update or feedback regarding the interview outcome for one week. I sent a couple of follow-up emails asking for the interview results. Finally, I received an email from HR stating she was following up with the Hiring Manager. Two days later, there was still no update from HR. I just checked the Workday portal, which says 'not selected.' I understand this could be for many reasons. What I don't understand is why they would not take some time to send an automated email or inform us of the interview outcome when we take time out of our working hours to interview with them. The sad part is that the HR previously worked for Google, and I was expecting more from her.
