Software Engineer Interview Experience - Bellvue, Virginia

Process

A professor recommended I contact a recruiter in October.

I heard back in February for an interview.

The first interview was behavioral with a talent scout.

The second interview was with an engineer. I was told it wasn't going to be coding, just conceptual, but the interviewer immediately asked me to share my screen and code. He wasn't very responsive and never indicated if I answered any questions correctly.

I was told there would be an on-site interview, but I never heard from them again. I emailed them multiple times asking for updates but received no response.

Questions

The candidate was asked about hashmaps and how to prevent collisions.

They were also asked about stacks and queues.

Finally, the candidate was asked to code a program that figures out if a word is a palindrome or not.
